• In order to adjust the borehole dia-
meter of circular saw blades to the
spindle diameter of the machine,
only firmly inserted rings, e.g. rings
which have been pressed into
place or which are held in place by
means of an adhesive bond, may
be used. The use of loose rings is
not permitted.
Tools required
• Hex key (6)
Procedure
1. Remove the batteries from the
tool.
2. Set the cutting depth so that the
retaining screw stops at the upper
end of the scale.
3. Press and hold the spindle lock
(15).
4. Loosen the clamping screw (24)
with the hex key (6). You can re-
lease the spindle lock (15).
5. Swivel the guard cover back us-
ing the pull lever (25) and hold the
guard cover in this position.
6. Disassembly: Remove the clamp-
ing flange and saw blade from the
mounting flange (43).
Assembly: Place the saw blade on
the mounting flange (43).
The direction of rotation of the saw
blade must match the direction of
rotation arrow (27).
7. Allow the guard cover to swing
back into the protective position.
8. Fit the clamping flange (23).
The smooth side of the clamping
flange must be visible.
9. Press and hold the spindle lock
(15).
10. Tighten the clamping screw (24)
with the hex key (6). You can re-
lease the spindle lock (15).
Extending a spanner or tightening
with the help of hammer blows is
not permitted.

Using the parallel guide

The parallel guide can be fitted on
both sides of the tool. It must at least
run through the holder with retaining
screw.
Fitting the parallel guide (Fig. C)
1. Loosen the retaining screw (11) if
necessary.
2. Push the parallel guide (18) into
the holder (10) with retaining screw
(11).
3. Tighten the retaining screw (11).
Removing the parallel guide (Fig. C)
1. Loosen the retaining screw (11).
2. Pull the parallel guide (18) out of
the holders (10).
Adjusting the parallel guide (Fig. C)
1. Loosen the retaining screw (11).
2. Set the cutting width using the
guide notches (44).
For larger distances, the parallel
guide is only held by the holder
with retaining screw.
3. Tighten the retaining screw (11).
4. Make a test cut, check the cutting
width and correct the position of
the parallel guide (18) if necessary.
Checking the function of
the protective hood
Notes
• If the function of the protective
hood is faulty, do not put the
device into operation and contact
our Service Centre.
 CAUTION! The protective hood
(21) must not jam. When the pull
lever (25) is released, the protect-
ive hood (21) must automatically
spring back to the starting posi-
tion.
