Installation
Place unit in approximate location
where electric and hydraulic power
connections are accessible.
1 Mark center locations of eleven holes at
bottom of reservoir (→ Fig. 1, page 7).
2 Drill eleven

flexibility in securing reservoir
to equipment.
3 Connect lubricant outlet of pump to
system with suitable hose capable of
3 500 psi (241 bar) working pressure.
4 Use a hose with at least

inner diameter capable of at least
3 500 psi (241 bar) operating pressure
for hydraulic inlet connection.
5 Use a hose or pipe with
/
3
inner diameter for hydraulic return to tank.
6 Refer to manual 404543 for setting
pump pressure and flow control.
7 If MSO equipped, refer to manual
404758 for MSO hose connections.
WARNING
Do not over pressurize
reservoir when filling.
Do not fill MSO
equipped reservoir from bottom
port. MSO ports must be used if
MSO is present on reservoir.
Failure to comply could result in
death or serious injury.
Operation
Fill reservoir, model
434-3370 only
1 Clean area around filling port.
2 Remove lower pipe plug from side
of reservoir.
3 Attach appropriate bulk-filling pump
to lower inlet (1 in. NPT).
4 Fill reservoir until grease appears at
vent high level port.
5 Remove bulk-filling pump.
6 Replace lower plug.

Fill reservoir, MSO
equipped,
615-2220 only
1 Verify relief valve is closed.
2 Turn supply pump on.
3 Supply pump stalls when gauge
reaches maximum.
4 Turn off supply pump.
5 Open pressure relief valve to vent
down stall pressure. Make sure relief
valve is open long enough to remove
pressure from system.
6 Disengage quick disconnect.
7 Cap quick disconnect ends to prevent
contamination.
8 Leave relief valve open until next
fill cycle.
Body and guide assembly (90), pivot
arm (89), supply line relief, follower
assembly (31) and cover (13) work in
combination with each other to prevent
grease from overfilling reservoir during
refill process (→ Fig. IPB 1, page 18).
