IMPORTANT NOTES FOR USE
The first time someone uses the trampoline, they must focus on learning
basic positions.
In this learning phase, the jumpers must practice and perfect these basic
techniques. Decelerating or checking the jump must be taught first and
emphasised as a safety measure. Jumpers must brake their jump as soon
as they begin to lose balance or control of the jump. This is done by bending
the knees deeply when the jumper lands, which makes the jumping mat
absorb the upward force. This allows the jumper to stop the jump immediately,
thus avoiding losing control.
A good, controlled (mastered) jump on the trampoline always lands at the
jumping-off point. A jump is only learned when the jumper can repeat it regularly.
The jumper must never move on to a more difficult exercise before he/she can
perform all previously learned jumps regularly.
The jumpers can take turns jumping for a short time each. Jumping for too long
exposes the jumper an increased risk of injury. Longer waiting times reduce the
interest of others who have to wait to jump.
Clothing must consist of a t-shirt, shorts, gym shoes, and thick socks (you can
also jump barefoot). Beginners can also wear loose-fitting protective clothing
such as polo shirts and sweatpants until they master the landing properly. This
prevents grazes from landing incorrectly on elbows and knees. Hard shoes must
not be worn because they lead to excessive wear of the trampoline.
Getting on and off the trampoline properly must be a fixed rule from the
beginning. Jumpers climb onto the trampoline by putting their hands on the
frame and climbing or rolling onto the frame, over the tapes and onto the jumping
mat. When getting on and off the trampoline, do not climb directly onto the frame
pad or clutch it. Users must always have their hands on the frame when climbing
off and on. To climb off, the jumpers go to the outside of the jumping mat, bend
over and place one hand on the frame, then climb off the mat and onto the ground.
NEVER jump directly from the trampoline to the ground. Not even if the ground is
soft, for example. Children who use the trampoline need help when getting on and
off. If you have a ladder (optionally included) set up, its rungs can be used for
getting on and off. Always keep your eyes on the ladder and your hands on the bars
when climbing up and down it. Ensure that your foot is securely touching the rung of
the ladder when using it.
Reckless (mischievous) jumping is not allowed. All skills must be learned at
moderate heights. Mastering the jump and not the height should be emphasised.
Jumpers must not jump on the trampoline alone and unsupervised.
Multiple jumpers: If multiple jumpers are on the trampoline (more than one person
at the same time), the risk of injury increases. Injuries can occur when you fall down,
lose control, collide with others, or land on the springs. In general, the risk of injury
is highest for light people.
Touching the spring framework: When you are on the trampoline, stay in the
middle of the mat. This reduces the chance of landing on the spring framework
and injuring yourself.
Do not stand directly on the spring framework as it is not designed to bear your
body weight.
