Material damage due to adjustment of incorrect installation!
MiniCODERs are optimized and calibrated by Lenord+Bauer on a fixed target wheel
diameter (≈ 77 mm) with high assembly precision. They are calibrated and delivered
100 % function-tested. In many applications, it is unavoidable that deviations occur
during the manufacturing of the drives due to the MiniCODER assembly and the
type of target wheel. These minor deviations can be reduced with the help of the
mobile service unit. This is no substitute for professional installation. Extreme
mechanical assembly deviations must be avoided. The mechanical changes that
occur during subsequent use must be observed to ensure that the limit values re-
ported by the drive amplifier are not exceeded. The limit values may differ depend-
ing on the drive amplifier used.

The signals should only be adjusted after the MiniCODER has been installed in
the spindle if it has been ensured that the MiniCODER has been installed cor-
rectly: Correct air gap, no tilting or torsion (possible installation errors
→ page
65).

If such an unauthorized adjustment has been carried out, the MiniCODER can
be reset to the factory setting using the mobile service unit.
If Lenord+Bauer is asked to check a MiniCODER that is not working as expect-
ed, the test can only be carried out here with the factory settings.
