4.2.2 Activation via IP network

Install and start the ABUS IP Installer, which is available for the respective product on the
ABUS website www.abus.com.
Each connected device should now appear in the selection list, possibly with an IP address
that does not match the target network.
Firstly, each device must be activated, i.e. a correspondingly secure password must be
assigned for the main user "admin". A secure password must fulfil at least the following
requirements:
- 8-16 characters
- Valid characters: Numbers, lower case letters, upper case letters, special characters (
! $ % & / ( ) = ? + - )
- 2 different types of characters must be used
The IP settings of the camera can be changed via the IP Installer.
The "Browser" button is not available for the door intercom system components as they do
not have their own web server.
The components can largely be programmed via the monitor of the door intercom system.
For more complex system setups, however, programming via the CMS software is necessary
(integration of a component such as an IP device, opening the "Remote configuration" menu
item).
Activation in the IP networkcan also be carried out via the ABUS CMS software.

To reset the password for the video door module, please contact our technical support team.
The password for the monitor can be reassigned at any time using the reset method you
specified in section 4.2.1 A b s).
