6.9. Checking Continuity
Follow these steps to check a circuit's continuity.

2. Plug the black test lead into your meter's COM terminal
and the red test lead into your meter's V//Hz/-
terminal.
3. Remove power from the circuit.
4. Connect the test leads to the circuit.
Note:
The buzzer sounds if the measured resistance is below
about 90 approximately.
Warning! Never perform a continuity measurement on a
circuit that has power connected.
6.10. Transistor hFE
1. Turn the range switch to "hFE" position.
2. Insert test leads into "mA" and "com" jack. Please pay
attention to the polarity, as the "Com" for positive and
"mA" for negative.
3. To determine the transistor´s type, NPN or PNP, insert
the emitting, base and collector electrode into the
corresponding jacks in testing accessory.
