HINTS FOR FOOD REFRIGERATION
Meat (all types): wrap in a suitable packaging and place it on the glass
shelf above the vegetable drawer. Store meat for at most 1-2 days.
• Fruit and vegetables: clean thoroughly (eliminate the soil) and place in a
special drawer(vegetable drawer).
• It is advisable not to keep the exotic fruits like bananas, mangos,
papayas etc. in the refrigerator.
• Vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and garlic should not be
kept in the refrigerator.
• Butter and cheese: place in an airtight container or wrap in an aluminium
foil or a polythene bag to exclude as much air as possible.
• Bottles: close them with a cap and place them on the door bottle shelf, or
(if available) on the bottle rack.
• Always refer to the expiry date of the products to know how long to keep
them.
STORAGE OF FOOD
Your appliance has the accessories as the structure illustration" showed
in general with this part instruction you can have the right way to storage
your food. The glass shelves and crisper can be removed to store food
if needed.
Note: Food is not allowed to touch directly all surfaces inside the appliance.
It has to be wrapped separately in aluminum sheet or in cellophane sheet
or in airtight plastic boxes.
Storing food in the refrigerator compartment
The fridge freezer compartmenthelps to extend the storage times of
fresh perishable foods.
Fresh food care for best results:
1.Store foods that are very fresh and of good quality.
2.Ensure that food is well wrapped or covered before it is stored. This will
prevent food from dehydrating deteriorating in colour or losing taste and
will help maintain freshness. It will also prevent odour transfer. Vegetables
and fruit need not be wrapped if they are stored in the vegetable container
of the fridge compartment.
3.Make sure that strong smelling foods are wrapped or covered and stored
away from foods such as butter milk and cream which can be tainted by
strong odours.
4.Cool hot foods down before placing them in the fridge compartment.
Dairy foods and eggs
Most pre-packed dairy foods have a recommended "use by /best before/
best by/date"l date stamped on them.
Store them in the fridge compartment and use within the recommended time.
Bu er can become tainted by strong smelling foods s it is best stored in a
sealed container.
Eggs should be stored in the fridge compartment.
