Automatic functions
• Automatic detection of induction-suitable cookware
If unsuitable cookware is used (see "Suitable cookware and its use")
or small objects (e.g. cutlery, keys...) are placed on the hob,
the appliance switches to standby after one minute.
If no induction-suitable cookware is registered within one minute
after switching on a cooking zone, the zone is automatically
switched off (display icon
This avoids functional impairments and also possible uncontrolled
magnetic radiation that could occur when using non-induction-
suitable cookware or when operating of a cooking zone empty.
• Overheating protection
A built-in fan cools the induction hob during and
and also shortly after operation.
To prevent damage to the appliance, a built-in temperature sensor
also monitors the temperature inside the hob.
If the temperature is too high, the hob switches off automatically.
• Residual heat warning
If a cooking zone has been in operation for some time and is still too
hot to touch, this is signalled by an
zone indicator, also when switched off.
When the surface has cooled down to a harmless temperature,
the icon disappears.
This can also be used as an energy-saving function:
If you want to heat more cookware,
use a zone whose residual heat display is still active.
• Auto shut-off
For your safety and e.g. to prevent forgetting to switch off cooking
zones, they switch off automatically after a set time:
