Choice and preparation of the worktop
• Choose a worktop made of insulating and heat-resistant
material for the hob installation.
Wood and similar fibrous or moisture-permeable material
may only be used for the worktop if it is impregnated.
• Insulate the top edge of the worktop bordering the wall
behind the hob against liquids or moisture, e.g. by using
a protective strip.
• Make sure that the surface of the worktop is level
and horizontal.
• Ensure a worktop thickness of min. 30mm and
the corresponding dimensions that result from the specifi-
cations for your hob model.
• Allow at least 3 mm safety clearance between the sides of
the hob base and the cut surfaces of the worktop cut-out,
as well as a worktop frame around the hob of at least 50
mm.
