• Using the push stick, push the work-
piece over the feed table towards the
discharge table and blade shaft.
• When not in use you can hook the
push stick (18) into the holder (29) on
the back of the device housing (11).

Working instructions for
surface planers
• When working, completely cover the
planer blade with the blade cover at
the points where you are not planing.
Risk of injury!
• Adjust the machine to the desired set-
ting. Turn on the machine. Place the
workpiece on the planing table. Push
the workpiece over the blade shaft us-
ing the push stick if necessary.
Working instructions for
thicknessers
• Adjust the machine to the desired set-
ting. Turn on the machine. Place the
workpiece on the feed table. Push the
workpiece towards the blade shaft, us-
ing the push stick if necessary, until the
feed engages.
• When the feed engages, do not pull or
push the workpiece.
Just support the workpiece.
Switching on/off
Switching on: Press the On switch (9).
Switching off: Press the Off switch (10).
Overload protection
In the event of overload, the machine
switches off automatically to protect the
motor (➞ overload protection).

If the machine switches off automatically,
wait briefly and then press the overload
switch (8) (reset). You can then start the
machine again using the On switch (9).
Operating the surface
planer
Remove the mains plug before car-
rying out any adjustments.
Adjusting the rip fence
1. Loosen the star grip nut (27) and set the
desired inclination. The inclination can
be found on the scale (26) on the strut.
2. Fix your setting by tightening the star
grip nut (27).
Adjusting the planer
blade cover
For wide, flat workpieces (Fig. 
1. Loosen the star grip screw (28) and the
butterfly screw (12).
2. Lift the planer blade cover (25) and
slide the workpiece to be machined
under the planer blade cover (25).
3. The planer blade cover (25) must lay
flat on the workpiece to be machined.
Retighten the star grip screw (28) and
the butterfly screw (12).
For thin workpieces (Fig. 
1. Loosen the star grip screw (2) and push
the planer blade cover (25) as far to
the side as the workpiece is wide.
2. Fix the star grip screw (2) and thus the
position of the planer blade cover.
Setting the cutting depth
Turn the adjusting screw (5) to the right or
left to set the desired chip depth. The set
