• Avoid unintentional starting
– Make sure that the switch is off when
inserting the plug into the socket.

ing jammed or whether parts are dam-
aged. All parts must be correctly fitted
and satisfy all conditions to ensure the

– Damaged safety equipment and parts
must be repaired properly or replaced
by an authorised specialist workshop
unless otherwise indicated in the op-
erating instructions.
– Damaged switches must be replaced
at a customer service workshop.
– Do not use power tools if the switch
cannot be turned on and off.

• Check that the machine is in a
fault-free condition before use.
• Only use well-sharpened and
well-maintained blades.
• Only use blades that are de-
signed for this machine.
• When working, completely
cover the planer blade with the
blade cover at the points where
you are not planing.
• Wear personal protective equip-
ment when working.
Wear hearing protection to reduce
the risk of becoming hard of hearing.
Wear respiratory protection to re-
duce the risk of inhaling harmful dust.
• Wear gloves when handling the
blade shaft and when working
with rough materials. This reduces
the risk of injury from sharp edges.
• Do not carry out the following
work as this may cause injury:

Insertion work, i.e. any machining
that does not extend over the entire
length of the workpiece;

Do not create indentations, tenons
or recesses with the device;

Do not plane very bent wood where
there is not sufficient contact with
the feed table.
