2.3 Display
LC Display
The LC display is backlit and displays messages and texts to be selected on
2 lines of 20 characters each.
The display contrast is temperature dependent and can be readjusted as
necessary.
To readjust the display, proceed as follows:
1. Carefully insert a 2-2.5 mm flat-bladed screwdriver into the opening
identified by the contrast symbol
housing.
2. Adjust the contrast setting by carefully turning the adjusting screw to
the left (counter-clockwise) or to the right (clockwise). The maximum
range of adjustment is an angle of

Applying too much force when making the setting can
damage the contrast adjustment screw.
The contrast setting must be adjusted carefully. The

130 angular limit of the adjustment range must be
absolutely observed.
Note
The display should only be cleaned with a soft cotton cloth and a mild
cleaner.
Light-Emitting Diode (LED) "Active"
A light-emitting diode (LED) is located behind the ventilating slots on the
operator side of the UD 700. It is illuminated green when the UD 700 is
active on the MPI bus.
