Notes on Using the SIMATIC Manager
If the UD 700 still contains a user program which was uploaded from a
CPU, you will be unable to download blocks from the programming
device or PC to the UD 700, and the following error message will
appear: "Invalid user program – delete block."
You must delete any uploaded data in the UD 700 before downloading
a user program.
Blocks located in the internal memory of the UD 700 are only logically
deleted. To delete the entire CPU section using the SIMATIC
Manager, proceed as follows:
1. Delete all blocks located in the UD 700.
2. Execute the function "PLC --> Copy RAM to ROM."
In the SIMATIC Manager the "Accessible Nodes" function displays
the MPI addresses of the emulated target devices. Depending on the
target device used, it displays the CPU MPI address and the OP
address defined the UD 700 SETUP.
The SIMATIC Manager can be used to determine the amount of
memory available for blocks in the UD 700. To display this
information, select the menu command "PLC --> Module
Information."
The error message "Online: No connection established. Remote partner
refuses to establish connection" can have the following causes:
1. The MPI address of the CPU used for the offline configuration
differs from the MPI address of the CPU entered in the UD 700.
In this case, check and modify the incorrectly configured/set MPI
address as necessary.
2. A connection to the UD 700 already exists, and a second one is
being attempted.
In this case, terminate the communication connection you no
longer require by going offline in the corresponding window or by
closing the window.
