Multipoint Interface
The UD 700 is connected to the S7 or C7 via the multipoint interface. The
MPI connector has the following pin assignments.

1 NC Pin 1 is not assigned, coding
2 M24V Connection for the 0 V line of the 24 V power
supply. Power is supplied from the DC/DC
transformer in the UD 700 electronics.
3 LTG_B Data line B
4 RTSAS RTSAS control signal for received data
current. Signal '1' is active when the directly
linked programmable controller is transmitting
data.
5 M5V 0 V line of the 5 V internal power supply
6 P5V +5 V line of the 5 V internal power supply
7 P24V Connection for the 24 V line of the 24 V power
supply. Power is supplied from the DC/DC
transformer in the UD 700 electronics.
8 LTG_A Data line A
9 RTS-PG RTS output signal for the UD 700. The signal
is '1' when the UD 700 is transmitting
Shield On the connector housing*
* This shield is interconnected with the shielding on the UD 700
housing and also to the RS 232 connector.
