Before filling the cell, the Mini-
HydroFlex must be screwed in into
the reservoir marked with RE1.
If a temperature sensor is to be used,
this must also be screwed in, now.
For each analyte compartment an
individual pump is necessary. The
connection is made via 6/4 mm
hoses, fitting to the supplied straight
connectors.
If the hoses are connected safely at
cell and pumps, if the suction and the
outlet hoses are hanging in the
corresponding vessels, the pumps
can be started, with low rate to flood the single compartments carefully.
In case you wish to control the level in the reservoirs for Mini-HydroFlex, switch-of the
pumps. screw-out the Mini-HydroFlex a little, so you can look inside the reservoir.
Without the pumps, the straight connector for the inlet must be replaced by a screw
plug. After removing the outlet straight connector in the center opening, the cell can be
filled with approx. 25 ml of electrolyte. Please consider: the reservoirs for the Mini-
HydroFlex are filling by themselves, but with a delay in time. They could be filled half to
avoid overflowing when setting the reference electrode.
If the hole does not fill with electrolyte, air bubbles in the Haber-Luggin capillary block
the electrolyte flow. Do not insert the reference electrode before the reservoirs are half
filled.
