2. Use of the analyte compartment with membrane
In addition, an intermediate plate (analyte compartment) can be inserted, which one is
optionally available and supplied with the necessary longer screws.
A membrane is inserted between the analyte compartment and the counter electrolyte
compartment. This must be cut round and 50 mm in diameter. This membrane
separates anolyte and catholyte. The working electrode is thus protected from the
reaction products of the counter electrode. When selecting the membrane, pay
attention to the electrolyte resistance and the ion-exchanging properties of the
membrane.
