Counter electrode
ElyFlow is supplied with a counter electrode made of nickel and a counter electrode with
MMO coating on titanium. However, you can use other counter electrodes with the
dimensions 64 mm x 64 mm x 2 mm.
The contact is made on the back via two gold-plated 4 mm multilam plugs.
Temperature
Many processes take place at higher temperatures. Therefore, it is often necessary to
heat the test cells.
Gaskatel ElyFlow test cell can be heated by a heating element, integrated behind the
counter electrode.
Please use our temperature control box 83900 for temperature control or the control box
TP 83700, because only a well-regulated temperature ensures comparable measurement
results.
Crevice corrosion
If the sample is not sealed properly, an electrochemical reaction may take place
underneath the sealing or even outside of the active area. A proper sealing is essential.
Oxygen may only enter in a controlled manner.
The measuring cells are therefore supplied with the appropriate O-rings.
Silicone sealings are also suitable and available cut to size.
