Working electrode
The working electrode is placed between working electrode holder and analyte
compartment. The seal is made via the O-rings inserted in both parts. Alternatively
suitable silicone seals can also be used.
The sample must be cut to the dimensions 65 mm x 70 mm. Then the sample fits exactly
between the fixing pins that prevent the sample from slipping. If you want to use
electrodes of other geometries, you can simply remove these pins.
If the working electrode is a gas diffusion electrode with a non-conductive gas diffusion
layer such as porous PTFE, then the PTFE foil must be removed approx. 1 cm from the
edge so that the sample can be contacted there.
Gas supply
For measurements on gas diffusion electrodes, these must be supplied with gas. The
working electrode holder has two connections: the gas inlet at the top and the gas outlet
at the side. If liquid gets through the electrodes, it can be removed with the gas flow.
