3.4. Charger

Ҍ Keep the charger away from rain and moisture. If water enters the charger, there is a risk of
electric shocks.
Ҍ Charge only Bosch Li-Ion batteries that are approved for use with e-bikes. The battery voltage
must match the charger voltage. If this is not the case, there is a risk of fire and explosion.
Ҍ Keep the charger clean. Dirt may lead to the risk of electric shocks.
Ҍ Check the charger, cable and plug before use. Do not use the charger if you discover damage.
Do not open the charger.
Ҍ A damaged charger, cable and plug increase the risk of electric shocks.
Ҍ Do not use the charger on highly flammable surfaces (e.g. paper, textile etc.) or in a
combustible environment. The heat generated during charging can lead to the risk of fire.
Ҍ The e-bike battery must not be left to charge unattended.
Ҍ Children must be supervised during use, cleaning and maintenance. This is to ensure that
children do not play with the charger.

Ҍ Be careful when touching the charger during charging. Wear work gloves. The charger may
become very hot, particularly in high ambient temperatures.
Ҍ Children and persons who are unable to use the charger safely due to their physical, sensory
or mental capacity, their inexperience or lack of knowledge must not use the charger without
supervision or instruction by a responsible person, otherwise there is a risk of incorrect
operation and injuries.
NOTICE
A sticker with information in English with the following content is attached to the bottom of the
charger: ONLY use with BOSCH Li-Ion batteries!
3.5. Battery
The contents of Lithium Ion battery cells are flammable under certain conditions. You must
therefore familiarise yourself with the instructions in this manual.

Ҍ Protect the battery against heat (e.g. continued exposure to sunlight), fire and immersion in
water. Do not store or use the battery in the vicinity of hot or flammable objects. This leads to
the risk of explosion.
Ҍ Keep the battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects
that may short circuit the contacts. Short circuits between the battery contacts may lead to
burns or fire. Damage arising from short circuits in this way invalidates all warranty claims.
Ҍ Do not place the charger or battery in the vicinity of flammable materials. Only charge the
