Appendix

A - Checks and inspections

Before each trip with the Erivo, check its functionality. In this regards, please contact your authorised specialist dealer if malfunctions
occur.
Inspection Inspection step

Control unit Check whether the LED display [19] lights up after being
switched on.
Check the button [18] and the LED display [19] for any
error messages (see chapter 6).
Check the capacity of the battery pack (see chapter 4.4).
Check the button [18] and the joystick [16] for correct
operation.
Check the position of the joystick (when the control unit
is switched off!). Ensure that it is not bent out of shape

or damaged and that it returns to its mid-position when
you release it.
Check the rubber sleeve at the base of the joystick for
damage. Perform a visual inspection of the sleeve. Do not
attempt to repair the joystick.
Check the horn [17] for correct operation.
Motors Check the motors for unnatural noises, overheating, and
malfunctions.
Brakes In electric motor operation, check that the brakes hold
the Erivo in position when the joystick is released, such
that the Erivo cannot roll away.
Operating Check whether the motors can be easily switched to elec-
mode tric motor operation/push mode.
Mechanical Check whether the Erivo folded/unfolded without any
system difficulty
Check whether the connections of the frame, armrests and
foot supports have become deformed or have loosened.
Check whether all parts are screwed together and whether
parts (e.g. screws) are missing
Battery pack Charging the battery pack on the control unit: Check
whether the LED display on the control unit and the LED
display on the charger light up after connecting the bat-
tery pack.
Charging directly on the battery pack: Check whether the
LED display on the charger lights up after connecting the
battery pack.
The LED illuminated display of the charger does not light
up green when it is fully charged.
Wheels and Check the depth of the tyre tread on all wheels.

Check whether the tyres have any cracks or deformation.
If there are any foreign bodies in a tyre, these must be
removed.
Check the air pressure of the tyres.
Check whether the wheels turn without wobbling.
Charger Check the charger for correct operation, especially the
LED displays.
Remedy in the event of a malfunction
Is the battery fully charged and inserted?
Remedy the errors as per the specifications in this
operating manual.
Recharge the battery pack fully before starting your
trip.
Remedy any errors that occur as per the specifications
in this operating manual.
Contact your specialist dealer in the event of damage
or malfunctions.

Check the cable connection between the charger and
the control unit. Contact your specialist dealer if you

Tyres with a tread depth of less than 1 mm must be
replaced. Contact your specialist dealer in this regard.
The tyre needs to be replaced if it is cracked or
deformed. Contact your specialist dealer in this regard.
Is air constantly escaping from the tyres?

Further use of the charger is prohibited if there are any
malfunctions. Contact your specialist dealer.
