7. Automatic shutdown
7.1. Shutdown due to internal error
In the event of a system malfunction or an overload of the circuit (caused, for example,
by travelling with a high load on inclines), the Erivo switches itself off automatically.
In order to put the Erivo back into service, you need to restart the system
To do so, press the button [13] on the battery pack located underneath the seat and the
press the On/Off button [18] on the control unit.
7.2. Shutdown if not in use
If the Erivo is in fact switched on but it is not in use, an automatic shutdown will take
place after 10 minutes. To stop such a shutdown, the system needs to be restarted by
pressing the On/Off button [18].
8. Air pressure in the tyres
The wheels of the Erivo, which are driven by an electric motor, are equipped with pneumatic
tyres. Check the air pressure of both tyres (see table in chapter 17) at regular intervals and
top up the air if necessary. To do so, carefully pull out the valve [11].
The two castors (front wheels) are made of solid rubber and therefore do not require any
air.
9. Adjusting the seating position
• Switch off the Erivo.
• Switch both drive wheels to electric motor operation to ensure that the Erivo cannot
roll away inadvertently.
• Both armrests [3] can be swivelled in order to adjust the seating position.
• Use the armrests [3] for support; however, never lean on the control unit for support.
The Erivo must be switched off and both drive wheels must be switched
to electric motor operation before you adjust your seating position.
This is to prevent the wheelchair from rolling away inadvertently.
10. Removing the seat cushion
The seat cushion [6] is connected to the wheelchair seat by two Velcro straps [32] and
can be removed/attached at any time, e.g. for cleaning purposes.
