11. Transport

11.1. Folding the wheelchair

Your Erivo can be folded for transport purposed. This is ideally done by an accompanying
person.
In this context, the battery pack can be removed or can remain attached to the wheelchair.
• Park the Erivo on level ground; never park it on a slope.
• Switch off the Erivo.
• Push the red lever of the folding mechanism [8] up and, at the same time, slide
the seat and the backrest inwards. In doing so, ensure that the two castors [33]
(front wheels) do not collide with the components of the wheelchair.
ATTENTION: Risk of crushing!
Please note the safety instructions in this regard.
• The Erivo is fully folded when you hear a clearly audible "click" and the wheelchair
can no longer be pulled apart without actuating the lever [8].
• Fold down the foot support [12] to that is rests tightly against the wheelchair.
• Should you wish, the backrest [4] can be folded down at this point.
To do so, pull out the two fixations [5] at the same time and swivel the backrest [4]
into the desired position.

11.2. Unfolding the wheelchair

• Park the folded-up Erivo on level ground; never park it on a slope.
• Fold down the foot support [12].
• Swivel the backrest back until it is automatically locked by the fixation [5].
• Push the red lever of the folding mechanism [8] up and, at the same time, pull the
seat and the backrest apart. In doing so, ensure that the two castors [33] (front
wheels) do not collide with the components of the wheelchair.

• The Erivo is fully folded when you hear a clearly audible "click" and the wheelchair
can no longer be pulled apart without actuating the lever [8].
Safety note – Attention: Risk of crushing!
When folding/unfolding the wheelchair, hold it only in the area of
the folding mechanism [8] and the backrest, as shown in the dia-
gram. Never reach into the area of any mechanical parts that are
pushed together when folding the wheelchair.
Areas in which there is a risk of crushing are marked on the wheel-
chair with the sticker opposite.
Never hold the wheelchair by the handle of the battery pack when
folding/unfolding the wheelchair.
