Proceed with particular caution when navigating ramps and lifting equipment on vehicles. Before lifting or lower-
ing the wheelchair on the ramp or lifting equipment, park the Erivo at a safe distance from the edge and switch
it off.
Never use your wheelchair directly at the edge or close to the edge of a ramp or lifting device, instead leave
a sufficient distance.
If the ground is wet, tyre grip could be poor, leading to an increased risk of slipping. Adapt your user behaviour
accordingly and never travel with worn tyres.
In order to prevent technical damage, the Erivo should not be used if it is raining or during snowfall.
11
Please note that when travelling downhill the brake path of the Erivo may be significantly longer than on level
ground depending on the speed and gradient. Therefore, adjust your speed accordingly.
Never travel on slopes with a fully charged battery pack, as doing so could damage the battery pack and the motors.
When navigating paved paths/roads, it is necessary to exercise greater caution, as the castors of the wheelchair
could get jammed in the grooves on these surfaces.
In the event of fire or smoke, wheelchair users are particularly at risk of being fatally or seriously injured as
they are unable to move away from the source of the fire or smoke. Lit matches, lighters and cigarettes can cause
an open flame around the wheelchair or on clothing.
Avoid using or storing the wheelchair near open flames or flammable products and do not smoke while using the
wheelchair.
Using the Erivo as a vehicle seat is not permitted.
The execution of "wheelie" movements (anti-tippers removed from the Erivo, Erivo wheels on the ground, front wheels
(castors) of the wheelchair up in the air) is not permitted. Alber GmbH accepts no liability for accidents resulting
from such actions.
