This operating manual contains instructions, information and warnings relating to operation of the Erivo and to char-
ging the batteries. They are to be read and be given due consideration prior to commissioning the Erivo or charging it
for the first time.

1.6. Permissible conditions of use/locations of operation

• Observe the information regarding the permissible conditions of use in this operating manual.
• It is imperative that any limits regarding the operation of the wheelchair (e.g. maximum gradeability, maximum permissible height of
obstacles, maximum user weight etc.) be observed.
• The Erivo may only be operated at temperatures between -25 °C and +50 °C. Therefore, do not expose the Erivo to any heat sources
(such as intense sunlight) as this may cause surfaces to reach high temperatures.
• Avoid using the wheelchair on soft ground (e.g. loose chipping, sand, mud, snow, ice or deep puddles), and avoid using it in rain,
thick fog, storms and poor visibility.
• Take particular care to observe the safety instructions and hazard information provided from chapter 3 onwards.
When not in use, do not expose the Erivo to strong sunlight for long periods of time. This could cause the motor
to heat up and, in extreme cases, prevent it from operating at full power. Plastic parts also age quicker under
intense sunlight.
