5.4. Warning signal

Pressing the button [17] will sound a warning signal on the control unit.

5.5. Limiting the speed

The minimum speed of your Erivo is 1.95 km/h, which can be increased in increments and
to a maximum speed of 6 km/h if the joystick [16] is fully deflected.
For different travel situations, for example indoors, the maximum speed can also be
limited on an individual basis. Use the button [18] to select the maximum speed you
require. The speed to be reached is reduced (minimum 1.95 km/h) in the direction of pos-
ition A and it is increased (maximum 6.0 km) in the direction of position B.
The maximum speed that you specify in this way is achieved as soon as you fully deflect
the joystick [16]. When travelling in reverse, the speed is automatically reduced to 50
percent for safety reasons.
The maximum speed can be set when the wheelchair is at a standstill and when you are
travelling.
Start your first travelling attempts at a low speed in order to accus-
tom yourself to the travel characteristics of the Erivo.
Adapt the speed to the respective travel situations. Reduce the max-
imum speed, particularly in difficult travel conditions and in indoor
use to prevent accidents.

5.6. Swivelling the control unit

The control unit [1] can be swivelled, for example, to allow it to be moved closer to a table.
To do so, pull down the fixation [2] and, at the same time, swivel the control unit into
the desired position. Please note that the control unit is now no longer fixed in place on
the armrest [3], but can be moved freely.
If the control unit is swivelled back into its standard position (see diagram opposite), it
will automatically be secured on the armrest [3] by the fixation [2] and can no longer be
moved.
If the control unit is not in its standard position, only minor travel
corrections may be made at the lowest speed; no longer trips may be
undertaken with the Erivo.
