3.7. Electromagnetic interference (EMI)

Every device with electrical components can cause interference and thus interfere with the operating ability of other devices. Operation of
your Erivo could therefore be disrupted by radio and television transmitters, amateur radio stations, two-way radios, and mobile phones.
In extreme cases, this could result in the Erivo releasing its brakes and moving of its own accord. There could also be permanent damage to
the Erivo's control system.
Your Erivo can withstand electromagnetic interference of up to 20 V/m.
EMI warnings
• We generally recommend refraining from trips in the vicinity of electrical interference fields.
• Do not use any portable transceivers, such as radios or mobile phones, while the Erivo is switched on.
Recommendation: Switch off the devices completely prior to a trip and do not switch them back on until you have completed your trip.
The Erivo should be switched off completely prior to commissioning the devices.
• Pay attention to nearby powerful transmitters, such as radio or TV transmitters, and keep your distance from them.
• Switch off the Erivo completely if you notice any unintended, independent movement of the Erivo during electric motor operation.
Do not use it again until you are in an environment where there is little or no electromagnetic interference.
• Please note that the addition of accessories and components, as well as any modification, could make the Erivo more susceptible
to electromagnetic interference.
