Caution!
Prior to commencing maintenance work:
Disconnect the sensor connector from the instrument.
13.1 Cleaning the measuring instrument
Clean the front of the housing with usual commercial cleaning agents.
The front is resistant to the following in accordance with DIN 42 115:
• Alcohol (short-term)
• Diluted acids (max. 2% HCl)
• Diluted alkalis (max. 3% NaOH)
• Soap-based household cleaner
"
Caution!
Never use the following for cleaning purposes:
• Concentrated mineral acids or alkalis
• Benzyl alcohol
• Methylene chloride
• High-pressure steam
13.2 Cleaning the sensor
To ensure reliable measurement, the sensor must be cleaned regularly:
• Use a suitable cleaning solution (e.g isopropyl alcohol) to remove light fouling and deposits on
the parts of the sensor in contact with medium.
• After cleaning, rinse the sensor with distilled water or ultrapure water. Cleaning agent resi-
dues can distort the measurement.
