They should be kept clean of cutting scrap and be regularly lubricated in
movable parts with 1 or 2 drops acid free oil. This is especially important for
the O-rings in the connecting lever for the swivelling movement (fig. 7).
By use of stands with micrometer screw the latter should be protected
against corrosion by lubricating with a thin coat of acid-free oil. Turn the
micrometer screw quite back before lubrication in order to make the
protection as effective as possible.
Every second month, the internal parts of the micrometer screw will have to
be lubricated with 1 or 2 drops of acid-free oil, poured in one of the two
holes at the end of the micrometer screw.
Here all movable parts, dove tail feeds and screws should be kept clean
and be lubricated at regular intervals. Use acid-free oil.
