To be read carefully
before use
1.
The operator(s) should be fully instructed in the use of the apparatus
according to the Instruction Manual. The operator(s) should be fully
instructed in the use of cut-off wheels for Accutom-2.
2.
Use only intact cut-off wheels. See the manual, section 7.3. If Struers
cut-off wheels are not used, it should be noticed whether they contain
materials which give off harmful vapors or dust requiring special
ventilation.
3.
If Struers cut-off wheels are not used, the wheels must be approved for
spindle speed of minimum 3000 rpm.
4.
Make sure to have suitable ventilation when cutting materials which
give off harmful dust particles or vapors. See Safety Data Sheet for the
materials in question.
5.
Observer the current safety regulations for handling, mixing, filling,
emptying and disposal of the cutting fluid in question.
6.
Store the cutting fluid and use it as indicated in the instructions for the
cutting fluid in question so that harmful bacterial growth and contact
with the skin is avoided.
7.
Do not start the apparatus until the wheel guard is mounted. See the
manual, section 6.6. Do not remove the wheel guard until the cut-off
wheel has stopped completely.
8.
If you use the Accutom-2 CATAS stand you must check that the
insulation rubber cap on the switch is intact before start of the
apparatus.
9.
Always use safety goggles in connection with manual cutting. Use only
511CA cut-off wheels for manual cutting. See the manual, section 6.9.
10. The work piece must be clamped securely. See the manual, section
6.5.2.
The equipment is designed for use with consumables supplied by Struers. If subjected to misuse, improper
installation, alteration, neglect, accident or improper repair, Struers will accept no responsibility for
damage(s) to the user or the equipment.
Dismantling of any part of the equipment, during service or repair, should always be performed by a qualified
technician (electromechanical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, etc.)
