NOTE:
It is strongly recommended that at least two people perform the installation.
Cut off all electricity prior to performing any works on the system - hazardous situation!
!
Set the upper stop of the spring arm to the horizontal position (Position B/Fig. 31) during
the installation process. To correct this, insert an allen wrench into the opening (14/Fig. 31)
and turn it fully to the right, otherwise the spring arm will uncontrollable swing upwards.
NOTE:
To adjust the vertical motion, hold the spring arm approximately 10° underneath the horizontal
position. This will reduce the pressure on the screw and you can now easily reset it with an
allen wrench.
10.5.1
Remove the plastic plugs (9/Fig. 32) from both sides of the safety collar (1/Fig. 32).
10.5.2
Remove the screws (2,3/Fig. 32) from the safety collar and store them in a safe place.
NOTE:
It is best to use a screwdriver with a magnetic tip to loosen the screws.
!
Hold the safety collar to ensure that it will not fall off the spring arm while removing an
end device.
10.5.3
For end devices without internal electrical cabling (ex. shields, monitor holders, injector holders):
Push the safety collar upwards (1/Fig. 32), until you will be able to see the straight pin sitting in
the drill hole (11/Fig. 32). Remove the straight pin (7/Fig. 32) by pushing it out from one side to
the other.
10.5.4
Push up the safety collar (1/Fig. 32) until it rests under the plastic cover and hold it there.
10.5.5
Carefully, pull out the safety spring (8/Fig. 32) from the safety collar (1/Fig. 32).
!
In the following step, the last thing (retaining clip (4/Fig. 32) inside the spring arm) secu-
it will fall down causing damage or injury.
and disconnect the device. To facilitate the removal, slightly rotate the device if needed.
