The weight capacity of the spring arm has already been set at the factory for the end device it was
purchased with. This max. weight of the spring arm can be found on the product label on top of the
extension arm. In rare circumstances or over time the spring arm may need to be slightly adjusted.
10.3.1
Using a 5 mm Allen wrench insert it into the weight adjustment slot at the back end of the spring
arm (extension arm/spring arm joint, 1/Fig. 29). Turn the wrench either left (counter-clockwise)
or right (clockwise) to adjust the weight.
To increase load capacity, turn the wrench to the left. (Overturning will cause the arm to
move upward). To decrease load capacity, turn the wrench to the right. (Overturning will
cause the arm to move downward).
10.3.2
The spring arm is correctly set when the vertical movement is easy and light, but holds its
position after movement.
10.4.1
The spring arm section of the Portegra2 suspension arm can be pulled downwards 50° and moved
upwards 45° (Fig. 29). The upper movement of the spring arm can be limited to any point from
0° to 45° by adjusting the arm spring at the upper vertical adjustment slot (2/Fig. 30).
Using a 5 mm allen wrench, insert it in the slot and turn it to obtain the desired stop point.
