NOTE:
It is strongly recommended that at least two people perform the installation.
When installing and adjusting the Portegra2 and/or associated components, ensure
to cut off the power supply to the entire system. Danger of Death!
If an electrical extension/spring arm combination is required, it must be mounted to the
female socket that can be seen when looking down from the top of the mounting post.
9.1.1
Loosen the screw and remove the plastic cap of the pin (1/Fig. 20).
NOTE:
mounting pin. They will be used later during installation. Do not throw away.
9.1.2
Ensure the washer (3/Fig. 20) is positioned on the contact surface of the mounting pin,
below the arm. Please, inform your supplier in case it should be missing, since it is necessary
for proper operation.
9.1.3
Slide the extension/spring arm combination onto the mounting pin (4/Fig. 20) of the ceiling column.
9.1.4.
If the extension/spring arm is electrical, pull out the male socket plug (pin side) from the
bearing of the extension arm. Disconnect the plug, in order to be able to place the spacer and

For a safe installation, ensure the snap ring is fully placed in the grove on all sides.
For the snap ring installation use only the tool included.

If the extension/spring arm is electrical, insert the male socket plug into the female socket
receptacle on the mounting post joint.

Attach the covers (5/Fig. 20) of the extension/spring arm, securing them with the mounting

Make sure that the cover's screws are not screwed too tight, stripping the thread of
the cover. Replace the cover if the screw hole has been stripped.
