To avoid damage to the plastic cover during shipping, the two halves comprising the cover (1/Fig. 17/18)
must be attached on site. To ensure proper installation of the cover, please complete following steps:
7.1.1
Remove the plastic cover from the shipping carton;; ensure it is in good condition. Carefully
remove the mounting screw(s) (2/Fig. 17/18) and speed nut(s) (3/Fig. 17/18) making sure
to store them in a safe place for later use.
7.1.2
Place the speed nut(s) (3/Fig. 17/18) on screw hole of the column cover.
7.1.3
Ensure both halves vertically align (A/Fig. 17/18). Once the height of both halves is level,
gently press them in direction (B/Fig. 17/18). Ensure the pegs inside the cover will click
into the grooves when snapping them together.
!
When mounting or removing covers again, be very careful as the snaps can break off.
This can cause the covers not to stay in place, and can fall on patient during procedures.
!
Make sure that the cover's screws (2/Fig. 17/18) are not screwed too tight, stripping
the thread of the cover. Replace the cover if the screw hole has been stripped.
7.1.4
To secure the plastic cover to the column, tighten the mounting screw (2/Fig. 17/18) into
the thread.
NOTE:
The disassembly should be carried out without applying much force.
7.2.1
Remove the screw(s) (2/Fig. 17/18) from the plastic cover and store them in a safe place.
7.2.2
Gently, separate the plastic halves near the top, in direction opposite to (B/Fig. 17/18).
7.2.3
Separate the snaps from the grooves with the help of a screwdriver.
7.2.4
Remove the plastic halves completely.
7.2.5
After the removal of the plastic halves, insert the screw(s) (2/Fig. 17/18) into the thread to
avoid losing it.
