dings. The norm EN 1775 is implemented into the technical
guidelines TPG 70401 under the title "Gas-powered equip-
ment and appliances using gaseous fuels in buildings". In
the event that on the fixed gas pipe system there is
a coupler for the quick connection and disconnection of
the hose from the connection to the equipment/applian-
ces, then according to the requirements of art. 5.7.2 of
EN 1775, it must tightly seal itself and must prevent gas
from leaking out of the gas distribution system. This
coupler must be designed in such a way that it is not
possible to accidentally disconnect the hose or to connect
it incorrectly.
For supplying propane-butane to the generator from
a standard propane-butane pressure vessel, the gas
hose or the supply pipe, or possibly assembly, must
meet norm EN 16436-1 or possibly EN 16436-2, if it does
not meet norm EN 14800 or EN 1762, e.g. gas hose for
propane-butane with the part number 8848121.
The generator must not be connected directly to the propa-
ne-butane pressure vessel without a pressure reduction
valve intended for this type of propane-butane pressure ves-
sel, which is used, for example, for supplying gas stoves or
cookers. The pressure regulator for PB pressure vessels must
have an output pressure of PB 30-50 mbar with a gas flow
rate of 1.5 kg/hour, e.g. pressure regulator HERON® 8898300.
These pressure regulators must meet norm EN 16129.
Request the safety instructions (user's manual) for the
use of propane-butane pressure vessels from the vendor
of these pressure vessels and follow these instructions.
VI. Connecting
electrical devices and
generator load-capacity
y Into the 230 V~50 Hz sockets connect electrical devices
that are intended for being powered using this voltage
and frequency.
y Into the 400 V~50 Hz socket connect an electrical device
that is intended for being powered using this voltage
and frequency. (applies only for the three-phase model
8896319). In the case of the three-phase model 8896319,
it is forbidden to simultaneously power an electrical
device from the 230 V and the 400 V socket due to
the asymmetrical load on the phases, which would
result in damage to the alternator. It is only permit-
ted to power either from the 230 V socket (sockets) or
separately only from the 400 V socket, never both socket
types at the same time.
WARNING
y The generator must not be transported or moved
to a different location while it is running. Turn it off
before moving it.
y For powering electrical devices it is necessary to
respect the following conditions, otherwise the
powered electrical devices or the generator may
be damaged:
123
y The total nominal (operating) power input of all
the connected electrical devices must not exceed
the nominal (operation) electrical power output
of the generator. To determine the nominal power
input of an electrical device, it is possible to use an
affordable socket power input meter (a wattmeter).
The total power output of the generator is unders-
tood to mean the total drawn power input of all the
electrical appliances connected to the generator.
y 230 V power sockets are rated to a maximum
current of 16 A, which means that in the case of
generator model 8896318 it is not possible to draw
more than 3.5 kW from a single power socket.
Model 8896317 has a max. el. power output of
2.8 kW, meaning that in this case the power output
of 3.5 kW cannot be achieved. In the case of model
8896319 the maximum power draw of 2.0 kW from
a single socket is protected by a circuit breaker.
y Turn on (start / put into operation) electrical
devices gradually one after the other with a time
interval in between and not all devices at the same
time. The large surge power input caused by all
the connected electrical devices being turned on
may cause a short-term voltage fluctuation and
may thus damage the connected electrical devices.
y The generator must not be concurrently used for
powering sensitive electrical devices (e.g. compu-
ter, TV, office equipment, etc.) and an electrical
device with a power electric motor, which has an
impulse ramp-up power input and fluctuating
power input based on the load placed on the
electric motor such as for example hand power
tools, etc. since this may result in voltage fluctuati-
ons, which may damage sensitive electrical devices.
y In the case of the three-phase model 8896319, it
is forbidden to simultaneously power an electri-
cal device from the 230 V and the 400 V socket
due to the asymmetrical load on the phases,
which would result in damage to the alternator. It
is only permitted to power either from the 230 V
socket (sockets) or separately only from the 400 V
socket, never both types at the same time.
y In the event that the generator is used as a bac-
kup electrical energy source for powering TN-C-S
(TN-C) networks (i.e. fixed electrical grids in
apartments, etc.), the connection of the generator
must be performed only by an electrician with the
necessary qualifications, since it must be put into
balance with the IT network of the generator with
the TN-C-S (TN-C) grid. The generator may be con-
nected to a TN-C-S (TN-C) grid only via an overvol-
tage protection that is built into the TN-C-S (TN-C)
grid. In the event of damages resulting from non-
-professional connection, the manufacturer of the
compressor bears no responsibility.
