Mounting / dismounting the Saw Blade Guard (Fig.
R)
On irst assembly, the assembly of the saw blade
protection has already been carried out in the pre-
vious assembly step.
1.
Loosen the knurled nut and wing nut (27) of the saw
blade guard (2). Place the saw blade guard (2) from the
top onto the riving knife (3).
2.
Mount the bolt with the knurled nut and washer (27) so
that the bolt sits irmly in the slot.
3.
Do not overtighten the bolt (27) The saw blade guard
must be able to move freely.
4.
Dismantling is carried out in reverse order. Caution! Be-
fore you start sawing, the saw blade guard (2) has to be
lowered onto the item being sawn.
Replacing the Table Insert (Fig. S)
1.
If it is worn or damaged, the table insert (5) has to be
replaced, as otherwise there is an increased risk of injury.
2.
Remove the screw (25) using a slotted screwdriver.
3.
Take out the table insert (5).
4.
The new table insert is mounted in reverse order.
Attaching/changing the Saw Blade (Fig. S, T)
Caution! Remove the mains plug and wear
1.
protective gloves.
2.
Dismantle the saw blade guard (2).
3.
Remove the table insert (5) by releasing the two counter-
sunk screws (25).
4.
Place the hexagon socket key (i) (HX 6) on the bolt and
use the jaw spanner (g) (SW 22) to stop the motor spin-
dle from turning.
5.
Caution! Turn the bolt in the direction of rotation of the
saw blade. Remove the loosened screw.
6.
Remove the outer lange and take the old saw blade off
the inner lange by pulling downwards and diagonally
7.
Clean the saw blade langes carefully with a wire brush
before attaching the new saw blade..
8.
Insert and tighten the new saw blade in reverse order.
Caution! Note the direction of motion; the
slope of the cutting edge of the teeth must
face the direction of motion, i.e. forwards (see
the arrow on the saw blade guard.
9.
Reattach and adjust the table insert (5) and the saw
blade guard (2).
10. Before you work with the saw again, a check must be
carried out to ensure that the protective devices are work-
ing properly.
Connect the suction device
1.
Attach a suction hose to the suction adapter (16). If nec-
essary, secure the suction hose with a hose clamp to pre-
vent it from slipping off the suction adapter (16).
2.
A household vacuum cleaner is not suitable as a suction
device. Use a multi-purpose vacuum cleaner or a swarf
extraction machine.

11. Operation

Switching on and off

• The saw can be switched on by pressing the green "I" button
on the on/off switch (12).
• Before you start sawing, wait until the saw blade has
reached its maximum speed.
• To switch the saw off again, press the red "0" button on the
on/off switch (12).
Adjusting the Cutting Depth (Fig. C)
• The saw blade (4) can be (continuously) adjusted to the re-
quired cutting depth by turning the hand wheel for the height
adjustment (9).
- Anticlockwise: reduces the cutting depth
- Clockwise: increases the cutting depth
Check the adjustment by means of a test cut.
Angle Adjustment (Fig. C, AG)
With the table circular saw it is possible to make bevel cuts to
the left at an angle of 0° to 45° to the stop rail.
m Before making every cut, check that no collision can occur
between the parallel stop (14), cross-cutting gauge (31) and
the saw blade (4).
• Release the locking handle (7)
• Set the desired angle on the scale by pushing in and turning
the hand wheel (9).
• Lock the locking handle (7) in the desired angular position.
Working with the Parallel Stop (Fig. U-AA)

Adjusting the Stop Height

• The stop rail (30) of the parallel stop (14) has two guide
surfaces at different heights.
• Depending on the thickness of the material to be cut, the stop
rail (30) must be used for thick material (workpiece thickness
exceeding 25 mm) and for thin material (workpiece thick-
ness below 25 mm).
Turning the Stop Rail
• In order to turn the stop rail (30), irst release the two knurled
nuts(m).
• Now the stop rail (30) can be pulled off the guide rail (14)
and pushed back over it again with the groove.
• Tighten the knurled nuts (m) again.
• The stop rail (30) can be attached to the left or right of the
parallel stop (14) as required. To do this, only mount the
screws from the other side of the parallel stop (14).

Adjusting the Cutting Width

• When wooden pieces are being cut lengthwise, the parallel
stop (14) has to be used.
• The parallel stop (14) should be mounted on the right-hand
side of the saw blade (4).
• Place the parallel stop (14) from above on the guide rail
(15) for the parallel stop (14).
• On the guide rail (15) for the parallel stop (14) there are 2
scales. These show the distance between the stop rail (14)
and saw blade (4).
