Before Putting into Operation

Mounting the Planer/Thicknesser
Attachment (see figure
For mounting of the device, use only the fixation
materials supplied.
Loosen the winged screw for the thicknessing
height adjustment 10. At the same time, hold the
thicknesser table firmly to avoid the table from
lowering in an uncontrolled manner.
Raise the thicknesser table 1 by turning the ad-
justing knob 4 and tighten the winged screw for
the thicknessing height adjustment 10 in the up-
permost position.
Mount the rear supporting plate 13, supporting
arm 14 and supporting bracket 11.
Fasten the retaining clip 7 with string to the cross
bar of the fixation bracket 8.
Mounting the Power Planer

Before any work on the device itself, pull
the mains plug.
Remove the park rest of the power planer. Press
the park rest together at the sides and pull off.
Screw the angle bracket 16 using screw 15 into
the right parallel guide of the power planer, but do
not screw tightly. It must be possible to slide the
angle bracket 16 within the area of the groove.
Screw the supporting pin 20 with washer to the
plane.
Loosen the adjusting plate 21 and push it down-
wards.
Push the fixation bracket 8 towards the back.
Loosen the hexagon nut 17 but do not completely
unscrew.
Hold the thicknesser table using adjusting
knob 4, loosen the winged screw for the thick-
nessing height adjustment 10 and set the thick-
nessing height to 15 mm on the scale 2 by turn-
ing the adjusting knob 4.
Slide the setting gauge 19 onto the thicknesser
table 1 to the stop.
Adjust the maximum depth-of-cut on the power
planer.
Insert the power planer with angle bracket 16 into
the spring plate. To do this, hold the power planer
slightly at an angle.
Pivot the power planer with supporting pin 20 into
the groove of the planer thicknesser attachment.

Slide the fixation bracket 8 onto the power planer,
press downwards and at the same time tighten
the winged screw for the fixation bracket 6.
Screw the winged screw for the planer fixation 18

through the hexagonal nut 17 into the power
planer, but do not tighten.
Adjusting the Power Planer

Tighten the hexagon nut 17.
Tighten the winged screw for planer fixation 18.
Rest the adjusting plate 21 on the supporting
pin 20 and tighten firmly with the screw.
Place the winged nut 5 with spacer bushing onto
the supporting pin 20 and tighten firmly.
Firmly
screw 15.
Checking the Adjustment
Unscrew the winged screw for the fixation
bracket 6 approx. 3 to 4 mm. Loosen the winged
nut 5 and swing the planer away.
Swing in the planer. Tighten the winged nut 5 and
winged screw for the fixation bracket 6.
The base plate of the power planer must rest on
all four bolts of the setting gauge 19; if this is not
the case, repeat the adjustment.
Remove the setting gauge 19 and attach it at the
side of the device (see figure

Preparation (see figure
Before any work on the device itself, pull
the mains plug.
Fasten the planer/thicknesser attachment using
two screw clamps 3 (accessory).
Lower the thicknesser table 1 to the lowest posi-
tion. In doing so, hold the thicknesser table firmly
to prevent the table from lowering in an uncon-
trolled manner.
Remove the setting gauge 19.

For all the following procedures press the
planer downwards on the bracket handle
so that the base plate of the power planer
rests on all four bolts of the setting
gauge 19.
