2. Information about the motor features

2.1. Designated use

The motor type SE Pro-com must only be used for operating roller shutters.

2.2. Properties

To protect the hanging, the motors have an obstacle detection system after the limit position
setting in the downwards direction with a reversing function and a self-teaching overload
detection in the upwards direction.
The obstacle detection of the drives has been developed to protect the roller shutter con-
struction against damages.
Since, depending on the position of the hangings, when an obstacle is detected, the entire
hanging weight may have to be stopped before the object detection system trips, do not use
the motor's obstacle detection system for personal protection.
The stability of the roller shutter system has to be suitable for the permanent use of the
drive.
For the installation with blocking springs or burglar proof fixations the manual setting of the
lower end limit is recommended. SE Pro-com drives may only be used at one-part construc-
tions.
The drive is suitable for left and right installation controlled with conventional switches, but-
tons and control systems that are suitable for roller shutter and sun control drives.
The drive torque has to be chosen correctly for the hanging weight. Parallel connection of
several drives is possible (please observe the capacity of the switching elements!).
The airborne noise of the motor is significantly below 70 dB (A). Depending on the type of the
roller shutter/awning/screen a strengthening of the sound intensity of the motor is possible.
It can be reduced by use of appropriate measures (e.g. insulation of the box, using noise pro-
tection plugs, etc.).

2.3. SELVE commeo

All SELVE-com motors receive radio signals on 868.1 MHz.
commeo is a bidirectional radio system that saves data in the receiver as well as the transmit-
ter. All SELVE commeo transmitters can be programmed into these motors. Up to 16 transmit-
ters can be programmed into one motor. Please adhere to the transmitter operating instruc-
tions. The commeo motors can be set for different applications in the CONFIGURATION
mode. The commeo motor SE Pro-com is already set for 'roller shutters'.
Note: Ensure that the controls are not installed and operated in the vicinity of metal surfaces
or magnetic fields. Metal surfaces or panes of glass with a metallisation within the transmis-
sion path can reduce the range considerably.
Radio sets transmitting at the same frequency could interfere with reception.
It should be noted that the range of the radio signal is restricted by legislation and construc-
tional measures.
