Connection

Disconnect the mixer and all other devices to be connected to it from the mains supply
(pull the power plugs) before connecting the devices to each other.
Only use properly shielded cables with suitable connectors to connect the inputs and
outputs. Using the wrong cables can cause interferences.
To avoid distortion or mismatches that could damage the mixer, only devices equipped
with suitable inputs and outputs of the same connection type may be connected to the
inputs and outputs of the mixer.
Also observe the values stated in the "Specifications".
The following applies to all RCA connections:
• The white RCA socket on the mixer is the connection for the left channel.
• The red RCA socket on the mixer is the connection for the right channel.
a) Connecting the inputs
INPUT LINE/CD CH-1 to CH-4 (38)
The mixer is equipped with the LINE/CD RCA stereo inputs to connect LINE/CD audio devices such as a tuner, a
CD player or an MP3 player. These inputs are only suitable for the connection of line-level audio devices.
These inputs are not suitable for record players.
INPUT PHONO/LINE CH-2 to CH-4 (39)
The mixer is equipped with three RCA stereo inputs for the connection of your record player. These inputs are variable
inputs. They can be set using the respective PHONO/LINE (41) switch below the sockets. Depending on the switch
position
these inputs can be connected to a record player or a LINE device.
Switch set to LINE (switch pressed)
Switch set to PHONO (switch not pressed)
Only put the switch in the PHONO position if a record player is connected. Select LINE
for any other devices.
The input signal is distorted if the switch position is incorrect. There is the risk of
damage to the connected amplifier or the loudspeakers. Only press the switch when
the mixer is not switched on. If no device is connected to the sockets, set the switch to
LINE.
A device with LINE level, e.g. CD player, MP3 player or
radio, can be connected to the respective input.
A record player with a magnetic system (this system is
used with almost all DJ record players) can be connected
to the respective input.
