2.5 Installation in high groundwater areas
If the Aqualift F extends below the basement slab
into the ground, it is equipped with a perimeter
flange which can be connected to a waterproof
membrane (ill. 11). As seen in Illustration 9, the
waterproof membrane is cut properly and placed
over the base of the sealing flange. The top flange
portion is then placed over the flange base and se-
cured tight with the provided screws.
2.5.1 Installation in a membrane seals
basement slab
The waterproofing membrane can be connected
directly between the two flanges on the system.

2.5.2 Installation in a waterproof concrete
basement slab
For this application the elastomer sealing mem-
brane (included in the extension section Art. no.
83075) should be installed between the flange and
the counter flange and secured with the included
screws. Before installing the membrane the pres-
sure pipe connection must be removed and then
reconnected after membrane installation is com-
plete. Screws should be tightened to a torque of
10 Nm. Any piping (such as inlet piping or cable
conduit piping) which penetrates the waterproof
concrete should be installed in a completely wa-
tertight method.
