2.3.4 Conduit pipe connection
Provide a conduit pipe for later retrofitting. If
this conduit pipe has to be installed in the upper
section, drill a hole with the KESSEL hole saw
(article number 500101) or a standard Ø 60 mm
hole saw and put in the conduit pipe seal (art.
850114).
A DN 50 conduit pipe should be laid from the
control unit to the Aqualift F in order to properly
run the electrical cables as well as the air pres-
sure hose for the pressure sensor from the con-
trol unit to the Aqualift F (see Illustration 7). The
conduit can be inserted into the DN50 gasketed
conduit opening in the upper portion of the tank
base. This conduit pipe should not be air-tight
in order to prevent any condensation water from
building up in the conduit pipe. Conduit pipes
should not be installed with 90 degree bends or
corners – in order to make a 90 degree bend, use
two 45 degree fittings which will ease inserted or
pulling cables through the conduit pipe.
Caution
The air pressure hose should be laid with a cons-
tant slope from the Aqualift F to the control unit
in order to allow any condensation water to drain
out of the air hose.
2.3.5 Ventilation pipe
A dedicated ventilation pipe must be connected
to the Aqualift F. This ventilation pipe should be
open to the ambient air in order to equalize any
pressure which may build up in the system. The
size of the ventilation pipe shall be at least DN 70.
To prevent any odour nuisances from the venti-
lation pipe it should be run to outside ambient air
(outdoors). Connect the ventilation pipe as seen
in Illustration 8. The Aqualift F body has been
equipped with a gasketed DN 70 ventilation pipe
connection. If desired a DN 70 to DN 100 adapter
(art. no. 27602) can be used.
