Cleaning and care
Cleaning for the first time
 Remove any adhesive labels or pro-
tective films.
 Clean the baking stone and the
wooden paddle with warm water and
washing-up liquid.
 Dry all surfaces with a clean cloth.
Cleaning the baking stone after use
Risk of injury caused by hot sur-
faces.
The baking stone gets hot during op-
eration and stores the heat.
You can burn yourself on the baking
stone.
Allow the baking stone to cool down
in the oven compartment before
cleaning it by hand.
Large differences in temperature can
damage the baking stone.
Do not place the hot baking stone on
cold surfaces such as tile or stone.
Do not clean the hot baking stone in
cold water.
The baking stone may be damaged if
it is cleaned in the dishwasher or
with a pyrolytic cleaning process.
Only clean the baking stone by hand
with warm water and washing-up li-
quid.
en-GB - Gourmet baking stone
The baking stone is glazed to make
cleaning easier.
 Clean the baking stone with warm
water and washing-up liquid.
 Dry all surfaces with a clean cloth.
Tips
- It is best to remove baked-on
residues with a glass scraper or after
soaking. You can soak the baking
stone in hot water with some white
vinegar. Because the underside is not
glazed, oils or toppings such as to-
mato sauce can leave noticeable dis-
colouration.
- Matt areas, caused by the oils in
cheese, for example, can be removed
using a suitable cream cleaner.
Cleaning the wooden paddle after
use
Do not clean the wooden paddle in
the dishwasher or leave it in water for
a long time as this will damage it.
This would cause the wood to swell
and warp.
Clean the wooden paddle by rinsing
it briefly and then dry it.
Because the wooden paddle is made
from untreated wood, it can suffer no-
ticeable discolouration from oils and
toppings such as tomato sauce.
