4.11.1 Connect RS485 Communication

✅ The connection box cover is open.
1. Slightly loosen the union nut of the PG screw con-
nection.
2. Remove the blind plug from the PG gland and feed
the shielded network cable through the cable gland
and seal.
3. Use a crimping tool to assemble the network cable
with an RJ45 plug. Make sure that the PIN assign-
ment is correct.

4. Insert the RJ45 connector into the RS485 port of the
communication board until it locks securely.
5. Check secure connection of the RJ45 plug.
6. Tighten the union nut of the PG screw connection.
7. Check the tightness and the strain relief of the PG
screw connection.
