Unpacking the appliance

NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage.
■ Do not use sharp objects to unpack
the appliance.
1. Unpack the appliance.
2. Carefully remove all parts of the packag-
ing, plastic profiles, tape and foam pad-
ding.

Preparing the appliance

1. Please ensure that a dust bag is inserted
and the rear opening of the dust bag is
firmly closed. You can find more details
under "Cleaning or changing the dust
bag" on page EN-17.

2. Open the battery compartment cover (14)
on the handle (12)
3. Insert two AAA, 1.5 V batteries into the
battery compartment (32).
Make sure the polarity is correct.
4. Close the battery compartment cover (14)
again.

5. If necessary, insert the smaller cou-
pling (33) on the suction hose (16) into
the corresponding opening on the han-
dle (12).
If necessary, turn the coupling (33) a lit-
tle so that the spring holders (34) on the
coupling (33) engage in the corresponding
openings (35) on the handle (12).
6. Insert the larger coupling (36) on the suc-

tion hose (16) into the opening (1) for the
suction hose connection.
Make sure that the spring holders (37) en-
gage.

7. Attach the telescopic tube (17) to the han-
dle (12).
