4. Setting up unit - SET UP

• Alarm set points: Setting up is only required if alarm set points are to be
monitored on this channel. 2 setpoints can be monitored for each channel.
Without opening the menu alarm set point it can be recogniced whether alarm set
point leave been activated (alarm setpoint 1/2 active).
Select the type of set point:
Type
"Upper set point": Signal exceeds the set point.
"Lower set point": Signal undercuts the set point.
Analogue alarm set point in the preset engineering units, e.g. in C, bar, ... . If integration is

active then it is possible to define alarm set points for intermediate, dialy, monthly, total
and yearly counters.
The alarm condition is only cancelled when the signal has changed by the preset value.
Hysteresis
Prevents hunting if the signal continuously changes around the preset set point. Only
available for upper or lower alarm set point.
In order to be interpreted as an alarm the signal must exceed or undercut the alarm set
Time delay
point for the time set up. Only available for upper or lower alarm set point.
Switches the respective relay when in alarm condition. The terminal numbers can be fount
Switched output
in brackets. Please also take note of connection hints (see "Safety hints/correct use" and
"Connections/terminal layout").
If the alarm set point is active and the "LV messages" are set to "Display+acknowledge"
Event text LV (limit
this text is shown on screen (with date and time). Use this function as e.g. a short form

"Display+acknowledge": Message must be acknowledged ("OK") by operating a push
button. This message consists of date, time and channel identifier with alarm set point

"No (Standard)": Plot continues using the preset feed rate (settings in "Basic settings").

Hint: Increased memory requirement! Only available for upper or lower alarm set point.
Instead of measuring real channels the analogue channels 2 to 6 can be used as
mathematic channels (set the signal to "Maths")
