4.3.1 Basic settings:

Settings that are generally valid for the unit, not channel relevant, e.g. date, time
etc.:
Description of where the unit is to be installed (important when using more than
one unit). 20 characters.
Hint: This is also stored on the diskette. Graphics and tables are identified

using this text when operating with a PC (important if more than one unit is to be
used). The unit identifier is also available when exporting data into other spread
sheet programmes.
Format dependent on operating language, see help text in the unit
Actual date
(e.g. DD.MM.YY)
Actual time
Format: hh:mm, 24 hour clock display
Activate summer/normal time changeover.
Summer time
"Automatic": Change to the valid regulations for the selected NT/ST region
changeover
"Manual": Changeover times can be set up in the following addresses
"Off": No changeover times needed
For automatic changeover:
The changeover times for normal to summer time vary dependent on geographic region.
NT/ST region
Select the required region, for control purposes the changeover times are displayed in grey
in the next addresses.
For manual changeover:
Date NT-ST
Day, when changeover from normal time to summer time is to occur.
For manual changeover:
Time at which the internal clock is to increase by 1 hour on changeover from normal to
Time NT-ST
summer time.
Format: hh:mm
For manual changeover:
Date ST-NT
Day, when a return from summer time to normal time is to occur.
For manual changeover:
Time at which the internal clock is to be turned back by 1 hour on changeover from summer
Time ST-NT
to normal time.
Format: hh:mm
Factory default: "0000", this means changes are possible without the need of a security
code. Individual code set: Further setting up of the unit can only be done after entering this
Release code
code.
Hint: Note the code and store out of reach of unauthorised personnel.
Selection of the required temperature units. All directly connected thermocouples or RTDs
Temperature units
are displayed and plotted in these preset units.
Indicates how fast the recording is updated or stored. Is always compared to the paper
Standard feed rate
feed of a normal recorder (typically 20 mm/h).
Feed rate in alarm condition, when analogue measurements drift outside preset alarm set
Alarm feed rate
points. Selectable for each analogue input under "Alarm set point - Feed rate".
Measurement point identifiers can contain a max 10 characters. Selecting "With additional
channel info" enables entry of 13 character additional channel infomation per channel (e.g.
Channel identifier
respective measurement point number, tag number systems in power stations etc.).
Hint: In normal operation the additional info can be listed together with the 10 character
channel identifier using the = push buttons (see 5. "Functions/handling in operation").
