Installation Steps

IMPORTANT: Must be completed before using your sensor.
CAUTION
Some dental imaging software uses a 3rd party SDK to integrate with
KaVo IXS. Contact your software manufacturer or KaVo Technical
Support for software and installation instructions.
Your KaVo IXS Sensor comes with KaVo Software Manager on the USB Software
Kit. Simply insert this thumb drive and click the KaVo Software Manager shortcut
to get started.
You will need a valid Internet connection. If your workstation is not connected to the
Internet, you will need to follow the steps below to download the software and copy
a version to your workstation.
If you no longer have access to your KaVo USB Software Kit, you will need to follow
the steps below to download the software and copy a version to you workstation.
1. Log into your computer with an Administrator account.
2. Open your supported Imaging Software and verify that you have the
minimum required version installed.
3. Navigate to https://www.kavo.com/en-us/download-center and
download the latest version of Imaging Software, according to the
version that you are currently using.
4. Also download the latest version of the KaVo IXS driver. The file name
for the driver is KaVo_IO-sensor.exe (starting in version 1.0.5).
5. Run your Imaging software installer to install your update your system.
NOTE: You will NOT need to uninstall your previous version of Imaging
Software in advance.
6. Right-click the file KaVo_IO-sensor.exe and select Run As Adminis-
trator.
7. Click through the sensor driver installation and reboot the system when
prompted.
