Ensure operational safety

Regular maintenance work must be carried out in order to ensure operational safety.
Record the maintenance works done in the table on page Page 44.
Maintenance intervals also depend on the operational demands on the machine.
Observe the safety instructions described in chapter 2.8 "Safety instructions for installation, commissioning
and maintenance" during all work.
The whole plant should always be kept in a clean condition.

Danger of death from touching live parts!
Touching of live parts cause serious injuries or death.
Ø Before starting any maintenance work, disconnect the machine by actuation
of the main switch or disconnection of the plug and secure it against acciden-
tal switching.
Ø Also observe the operating instructions of the frequency converter issued by
the manufacturer.
Risk of burns on hot surfaces and operating agents!
During maintenance, there is the risk of burns on hot components and hot oper-
ating agents of the machine. This can cause serious burns.
Ø Wait for the machine to cool down.
Ø Before maintenance and repair works allow the machine to cool down
completely.
Risk of injury due to missing safety devices!
Missing safety devices can cause injuries.
Ø Safety devices may not be bypassed or deactivated for maintenance works.
Ø After the maintenance works have been completed, make sure that all safety
devices have been refitted correctly. Check the functioning.
Ø Safety guards on motor fans and ventilators may not be removed.
