6.2 ARRESTO DEL MOTORE
Far girare a vuoto a medio regime per 1 - 2 minuti,
quindi arrestare il motore ponendo la leva in
posizione di stop.
6.3 UTILIZZAZIONE SALTUARIA DEL MOTORE
Particolari accorgimenti devono essere adottati
nelle installazioni che prevedono l'intervento
immediato ed improvviso del motore dopo lunghi
periodi di inattività (impianti di emergenza,
antincendio e in condizioni ambientali gravose).
Nei successivi capitoli vengono descritte alcune tra
le principali situazioni di utilizzo saltuario del
motore, con particolare distinzione alle procedure
per le quali dovrà essere richiesto l'intervento
operativo del Service VM MOTORI o altro ente
autorizzato dal Service VM MOTORI.
Per situazioni particolari e specifiche rivolgersi alla
VM Motori.
6.3.1 LAVAGGIO DEL MOTORE
Qualora ci sia la necessità di effettuare un lavaggio
del motore, si consiglia di proteggere le parti che
possono subire dananneggiamenti o mal
funzionamenti se posti a contatto con acqua
(esempio: filtro aria, alternatore, motorino
avviamento, parti elettriche ed elettromeccaniche).
Eseguita l'operazione, è opportuno effettuare la
messa in moto del motore, lasciandolo girare per
qualche minuto, al fine di eliminare i residui di acqua
tramite evaporazione della stessa.
6.2 ARRÊT DU MOTEUR
Faire tourner le moteur à vide à moyen régime
pendant 1 à 2 minutes puis arrêter en mettant le
levier en position d'arrêt.
6.3 EMPLOI IRRÉGULIER DU MOTEUR
Des mesures particulières doivent être adoptées en
cas d'installations prévoyant une utilisation
soudaine et immédiate du moteur après de longues
périodes d'inactivité (équipements de sécurité,
contre les incendies et sous conditions
d'environnement difficiles).
Certaines des principales situations d'utilisation
intermittente du moteur sont décrites dans les
chapitres suivants, avec une attention particulière
aux procédures pour lesquelles il faudra demander
l'intervention du Service VM MOTORI ou autre
service agréé par le Service VM MOTORI.

6.3.1 LAVAGE DU MOTEUR
S'il est nécessaire d'effectuer un lavage du moteur,
il est vivement conseillé de protéger les pièces qui,
entrant en contact avec de l'eau, sont sujettes à
l'endommagement ou au mal fonctionnement (par
exemple: filtre à air, alternateur, démarreur, parties
électriques et électromécaniques).
Une fois l'opération effectuée, mettre en marche
le moteur et le laisser tourner pendant quelques
minutes afin d'éliminer tout résidu d'eau par
évaporation.

6.2 STOPPING THE ENGINE
Run the engine with no load at medium speed for
1 - 2 minutes; now stop the engine by setting the
relevant lever to the stop position.
6.3 USING THE ENGINE INFREQUENTLY
Take special precautions in installations where the
engine must cut in rapidly and suddenly after long
periods of inactivity (emergency power systems, fire
prevention systems and harsh ambient conditions).
The following chapters describe some of the main
situations relating to occasional use of engines, with
special regard to procedures demanding intervention
by VM MOTORI's Service Unit or other similar units
authorised by VM MOTORI's Service unit.

6.3.1 WASHING THE ENGINE
When the engine needs washing it is advisable to
protect the parts that might be damaged or function
badly if they come into contact with water (example:
air filter, alternator, starter, electrical and
electromagnetic parts).
Once the operation has been carried out, it is as
well to start the engine and let it rev up for a
few minutes in order to remove water residues
by evaporation.
