Instruction regarding the electrical connection: The actuator is generally clamped to the pump outlet of the solar controller (see fig-
ure). If the solar controller is equipped with an additional relay output for the thermal actuator (e.g. Resol), the actuator must be clamped
to this relay output. If the tube collection function (kick function) in the solar controller is activated, the pump running time should be at
least 270 sec. The pump and actuator are generally triggered at the same time. The opening time of the actuator must be taken into
account. The opening time to release a flow in a cold state is approx. 210 sec.
3.5 Safety valve or safety module
The station is equipped with a safety valve. The operating pressure can be controlled on the manometer.
Safety valve:
Response pressure of the safety valve: 6 bar
3.6 Connecting an expansion and auxiliary vessel (provided by the customer)
Expansion vessels accommodate the changes in volume when heating or cooling the fluid and retain a fluid reserve to offset minor medi-
um losses. Auxiliary vessels accommodate high system and downtime temperatures. On the one hand, auxiliary vessels therefore protect
the expansion vessel diaphragm and, on the other, they protect the system components from high temperatures. This protective effect only
works for short periods until the storage volume of the auxiliary vessel has heated up to the system temperature. Install an expansion and
auxiliary vessel on one of the two designated connections of the pump group (see fig.). Pre-bend the stainless steel pipe for an expansion
vessel when using the Meibes solar connector set.
Note:
• Please observe the distance from the wall!
Only suitable and properly designed expansion vessels (see DIN 4807) and auxiliary vessels must be used. Use auxiliary
vessels if necessary according to the prevailing temperatures.
MAG
connection
The authorised specialist installing the solar station must ensure that the components of the solar system are not damaged by overheating.
For example, we recommend installing an auxiliary vessel upstream of the diaphragm expansion vessel in the event of short lengths of
pipe between the collector and the solar station.
