8.1

Safety instructions for disassembly

1. Disassembly may only be carried out by a com-
petent person, see chapter 2.3 - Personnel qual-
ifications.
2. Never carry out the disassembly on your own.
Some of the work steps can only be achieved
with two people working.
Hazardous tensioned springs
WARNING
Springs are under high torque and can
release large forces when being ten-
sioned or when being relieved from ten-
sion.
Wear suitable personal protective
equipment when relieving springs
from tension.
8.2

Disassembling the sectional door

Relieve the tension of the torsion spring shaft
1. Move the sectional door into the closed position.
2. Insert the tensioning bars into the clamping
head.
3. Firmly hold the tensioning bars and carefully
loosen the screws of the spring clamping head.
4. Carefully relieve the tension of the torsion spring
shaft (35R/L) by means of both tensioning bars.
Generally, the spring is to be relieved from ten-
sion from the top to the bottom.

Disposal

Dispose of packaging material in an environmentally
friendly way and in accordance with the applicable
local disposal regulations.
The symbol with the crossed-out waste bin on
waste electrical or electronic equipment stipulates
that this equipment must not be disposed of with the
household waste at the end of its life. You will find
collection points for free return of waste electrical and
electronic equipment in your vicinity. The addresses
can be obtained from your municipality or local ad-
ministration. The separate collection of waste elec-
trical and electronic equipment aims to enable the re-
use, recycling and other forms of recovery of waste
equipment as well as to prevent negative effects for
the environment and human health caused by the
disposal of hazardous substances potentially con-
tained in the equipment.

Warranty terms

5 resp. 10-year manufacturer's guarantee on
sectional doors
In addition to the warranty based on our conditions of
sale and delivery, we guarantee the aforementioned
sectional doors for 10  years subject to max.
50,000 cycles of operation.
We grant a manufacturer's guarantee of 5 years on
wearing parts, such as locks, hinges, springs, bear-
ings, rails, rope pulls and associated ropes subject to
normal load exposure or max. 25,000 cycles of oper-
ation.
We grant a manufacturer's guarantee of 10  years
against the sections rusting from the inside out, on
the separation of steel from foam, and on floor, inter-
mediate, side and header seals.
For doors with tension springs, the multiple spring as-
semblies and double cables must be replaced after
approx.  25,000 cycles (see installation instructions).
For doors with torsion spring shafts, the torsion spring
shaft  (35R/L) must be completely replaced (see as-
sembly instructions).
Should this door lock or parts of it prove to be of no
use or limited use as a result of proven material or
manufacturing defects, we shall rectify this, at our dis-
cretion, through free-of-charge repair or replacement.
No liability is accepted for damages caused by faulty
or improper installation, commissioning or operation,
failure to perform the specified maintenance, expos-
ure to undue loads or any unauthorised changes to
the construction of the door. When adding to or modi-
fying the doors or when replacing parts in the course
of maintenance or repair works, only original spare
parts must be used. The same shall also apply for
damage incurred during transportation or as a result
of force majeure, external influences or natural wear
as well as special atmospheric influences.
The warranty also lapses in the event of failure to ob-
serve our installation and operating instructions.
No liability is accepted if unauthorised changes or re-
pair work are carried out on functional parts or if addi-
tional filling weight is added which can no longer be
compensated by the prescribed torsion springs.
The surface warranty for all door leaves with final
coating in original colour that are installed in Ger-
many extends to the adhesion of the colour and/ or
foil, corrosion protection and fade resistance. Slight
changes in colour that can occur over time are ex-
cluded from the warranty. Doors and door surfaces in
coastal areas are subject to aggressive climate influ-
ences and require appropriate additional protection.
Any defects arising as a result of damage to the
product, such as abrasion, mechanical or wilful dam-
age, soiling and improper cleaning, are excluded from
this warranty.
